The Designated Person is the first point of contact within the Departments for staff who are concerned about someone's safety or welfare.They offer advice, support staff to recognize signs of abuse or neglect, and ensure that concerns are recorded and referred promptly to the appropriate safeguarding teams. The Designated Person also promotes safe practice within their service area, helping to create a culture where people feel confident to speak up and act.
