The Designated Person is the first point of contact within the Departments for staff who are concerned about someone's safety or welfare.<\/span><\/span>They offer advice, support staff to recognize signs of abuse or neglect, and ensure that concerns are recorded and referred promptly to the appropriate safeguarding teams. <\/span><\/span>The Designated Person also promotes safe practice within their service area, helping to create a culture where people feel confident to speak up and act.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Each Department has a responsibility to ensure that each member of staff is aware of who the Designated Safeguarding Person is - here is a list of the Designated Officers:-<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
